Chimanimani National Park is a haven for hikers, nature lovers, and photographers. Its dramatic mountainous terrain, deep gorges, and pristine rivers create a landscape unlike any other in Mozambique. The park is home to ancient traditions, fascinating rock art, and diverse plant life, including species found nowhere else in the world. As you explore, you might encounter elands, sable antelope, and a rich variety of bird species.
The Nhahomba Executive Tented Camp consists of four spacious and well-appointed tents, each designed for a comfortable stay. Inside your private tent, you’ll find two single beds and a private, well-equipped bathroom. A solar panel provides lighting, ensuring you have the basics covered while you’re off-grid. A shared traditional kitchen and a communal porch are available for guests, fostering a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where you can prepare meals and share stories of your day’s adventures.
The camp is conveniently located just five minutes from the majestic Mussapa River, where you can take a peaceful boat trip and witness the amazing landscape from a unique perspective. From here, you are perfectly positioned to access the park’s main attractions, including the challenging trek to Mount Binga, Mozambique’s highest peak, and tours to stunning waterfalls and ancient caves.
Important information for your visit:
- Access is by 4×4 only. The roads within and leading to the park are rugged and challenging. A 4×4 vehicle is a requirement for a safe and successful journey to and from the camp.
- Self-catering is essential. To maintain the park’s pristine, undeveloped character, there are no restaurants or shops within the park. All visitors must bring their own food, drinks, and cooking supplies for the duration of their stay. Our common kitchen facilities are available for your use, but you must bring your own raw products.
At Nhahomba Executive Tented Camp, we provide the ideal balance of comfort and connection to nature, making your visit to Chimanimani National Park a truly unforgettable experience.
